Is it permissible for me to get married to a man who was not Muslim then professed Islam?
I was the reason behind his professing Islam, but I believe it is Allah Who guides whomever He wills and it is not I who gives guidance. This man tells me that even if we do not marry he will keep professing Islam and will never return to Christianity. Is it permissible for me to get married to him? If it is permissible, what should I do before I get married to him?
We thank Allah that you are a religious, modest and chaste Muslim woman.
There is no harm in accepting marriage to the man you mentioned if it is proved that he has professed Islam out of free will, love and honesty as there is nothing to prohibit it. Your marriage should be through your Muslim legal guardian namely, your father or the next closest relative. May Allah make things easy for you and for every Muslim!
