Selling a commodity bought with a defect
Q 8: What is the ruling on selling a product purchased defective from the factory?
A: If someone wants to sell a product that they know is defective, it is obligatory on them to make this clear to the buyer. If they do not, they will be sinful, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Anyone who cheats us is not one of us.” May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
