He dedicated as Waqf some sheep and died without telling his inheritors about their number

Q 4: My father died and had 15 or 20 goats belonging to his mother, but we do not know how many they are exactly. In addition, we cannot identify them from the other goats. Please take into consideration that my father used to pay Sadaqah (voluntary charity) for her every year. What is the ruling on this?

A: You should identify the exact number of goats and take out the goats that were under the care of your father. You should increase these goats to pay Sadaqah for your grandmother if she mentioned this in her will. If not, you should do this according to what your father used to do.May Allah grant us success.
