A man concluded a marriage contract and paid the Mahr (mandatory gift to a bride from her groom) but the wife died before consummating the marriage. Is he considered a Mahram (unmarriageable relative) to the deceased woman's mother
or not so that she should not uncover her face in front of him? Kindly give us your Fatwa in this regard.
If the reality is as you mentioned, that the marriage contract was concluded, then the deceased woman is a wife to the person who signed the contract and he is entitled to inherit her in addition to his being a Mahram to her mother and grandmothers upon the conclusion of that contract, but he is not a Mahram to her daughters. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
