Is it permissible for a man to conclude his own marriage contract for himself?
Yes, it is permissible for a man to conclude his own marriage contract. If, for example, the Waliy (a legally accountable person acting for a woman regarding marriage) says to the bridegroom in the presence of two qualified witnesses, "I offer you my daughter so and so in marriage" and the bridegroom replies, “I accept", the marriage contract will be valid. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
