Women praying in men's clothes

Q 1: Is it permissible for a woman to offer Salah (Prayer) in men's clothing?

A: A woman is prohibited to wear men's clothes altogether, whether in Salah or otherwise, for it was related by Al-Bukhari in his Sahih Book (of authentic Hadith) on the authority of Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah has cursed women who imitate men and men who imitate women." It was also related by Imam Ahmad and Abu Dawud on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that "The Prophet (peace be upon him) cursed the man who wears women’s clothing, and the woman who wears men’s clothing." (Part No. 24; Page No. 96) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
