A person is required to say Takbir seven times in the first Rak`ah of `Eid Prayer at the beginning of his Salah. (Part No. 8; Page No. 302) A person is also required to say Takbir five times in the second Rak`ah raising his hands for every Takbir. One is legally permitted also to say Tahmid (saying: "Al-hamdu lillah [All praise is due to Allah]"), Tasbih (saying: "Subhan Allah [Glory be to Allah]") and Takbir (saying: "Allahu Akbar [Allah is the Greatest]"). One is permitted also to ask Allah to confer peace and blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) between every Takbir and the other.May Allah grant us success.
