Q 4: Someone
wore socks while being Tahir (ritually pure) then passed into a state of minor ritual impurity, then wiped over the socks then passed into a state of minor ritual impurity again, then took the socks off then wore them. Is it permissible to wipe over them?
If you put on the socks while not being Tahir, it will not be permissible for you to wipe over them. This is because putting on socks while being Tahir is a prerequisite for wiping over them during Wudu', as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to
Al-Mughirah ibn Shu`bah (may Allah be pleased with him) when he wanted to help the Prophet (peace be upon him) take off his Khuffs (leather socks):
Leave them on, for I have put them (my feet) into the Khuffs after having purified them (washed them during ablution).
