Q 1: I suffer from nosebleed, especially in hot weather, and sometimes during Istinshaq (sniffing water into the nose and then expelling it) for Wudu' (ablution), so I have to raise my head upwards and the blood goes into my stomach. Is this considered Haram (prohibited)? Does the holy Ayah (Qur'anic verse):
Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maitah (the dead animals - cattle - beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine
apply to me? Is my Sawm (Fast) valid?
The blood flowing down from your nose into your throat due to nosebleed or the like is involuntary; thus, there is no sin, but you should try to get rid of it through your mouth as much as you can.
