How Zakah should be paid on groceries
Q 2: Could you explain in detail how Zakah (obligatory charity) should be paid on groceries after one year?
A: To pay Zakah on groceries, you have to evaluate the commodities that you have in the grocery store after the passage of one complete Hawl (one lunar year calculated from the time a property reaches the minimum amount upon which Zakah is due).
