A Muslim left his family in his homeland and traveled abroad. Is it permissible for him to send the price of his Ud-hiyah (sacrificial animal offered by non-pilgrims) to his children to buy and slaughter it on his behalf as a sacrifice for `Eid-ul-Adha (the Festival of the Sacrifice)?
He is an emigrant and he is sure that the Ud-hiyah will be offered as he wishes. Or is it required that he offers it himself?
A 3: There is nothing wrong with an emigrant sending the price of the Ud-hiyah to his children in his home country to buy it and slaughter it in their home. This is even better and more consistent with the Sunnah.May Allah grant us success. May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his Companions!
